Remembrance Sunday is a special day in our calendar when we focus on the women and men who have made great sacrifices to preserve our freedom.
The Upton Remembrance Service is a civic event, run jointly with St Joseph’s RC and Upton Baptist Church, usually starting with a parade from the old fire station to Upton Parish Church, then on to the Upton War Memorial.
In the Hanleys and Welland, the service is shared between St James, St Mary’s and St Gabriel’s Churches, each taking it in turn to host the service.
In the Croomes and Strensham, a service is held at St Nicholas, Earls Croome, leading on to the war memorial in the village.
In Ripple, a service is held in the parish church, followed by a short service later in the day at the war memorial in Ryall.
For more details, here’s a list of this year’s services (note we normally update this list in October).
